The first-hand route checked for this guide documents five Thieving Cats: Tick Town, Starstone Mines, Apprentice's Wing, Canal Hamlet, and Clockmaker's Rest. Two routes require abilities earned later, so do not assume a missing cat is available on your first visit.
The route source says every caught cat makes another outfit available at Tailord's shop in Tick Town. Platform trophy lists separately include an objective to catch or find all of Tailord's kittens.
Thieving Cat checklist
| # | Area | Requirement | Where to start looking |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Tick Town | Sundial from Celestial Kingdom | Check the small recess beside the Deepthorne entrance. |
| 2 | Starstone Mines | Pendulum from Apprentice's Wing | From fast travel, take the right path and break the orange crystals. |
| 3 | Apprentice's Wing | None noted | The cat is on the main route, one room before fast travel. |
| 4 | Canal Hamlet | Reach the early open-town rooftops | Turn left from the rooftops to spot the chase. |
| 5 | Clockmaker's Rest | Ability to break the orange crystals | Break the crystals beside fast travel and follow the newly opened path. |
How catching the cats works
The first-hand guide describes these cats as moving faster than Zirian. Instead of following the exact trail from behind, watch one attempt, learn where the cat turns, and cut across the inside of the route on the next run.
After a catch, return to Tailord's shop beside the Hills entrance in Tick Town. The source connects each cat to another outfit becoming available there. It does not provide a verified universal price list, so this page does not invent costume names or costs.
Tick Town Thieving Cat
This cat is not an early pickup. First obtain the Sundial from the Celestial Kingdom stage. Then return to Tick Town and search the small recess beside the entrance leading toward Deepthorne.
Because the route is ability-gated, seeing no cat before you own the Sundial is not evidence of a bug. Progress the story and revisit the entrance later.
Starstone Mines Thieving Cat
Bring the Pendulum earned in Apprentice's Wing. Start at the Starstone Mines fast-travel point, take the path to the right, and break through the orange crystals that previously blocked the route.
Follow the opened passage to the cat room. Once the chase begins, use the room layout to shorten your line instead of copying every turn.
Apprentice's Wing Thieving Cat
This is the most direct entry in the checked route. It appears on the main path one room before the fast-travel point. Run into it to complete the catch.
If you are using this page as a cleanup list, mark this one separately; an easy main-route catch can be harder to remember later than an obviously gated secret.
Canal Hamlet Thieving Cat
Look in the open settlement near the beginning of Canal Hamlet. Once you reach the rooftops, turn left and scan for the cat's starting position before dropping back to street level.
The route becomes easier after you see where the cat changes direction. Use the roof layout to cut the corner rather than staying directly behind it.
Clockmaker's Rest Thieving Cat
At the Clockmaker's Rest fast-travel room, look to the right and break the orange crystals. Follow the passage behind them to reach the final cat room documented by the first-hand guide.
Catch it, then return to Tailord's shop to check the outfit inventory and compare your completion status.
Trophy wording and source boundary
PlayStation calls its objective Come Here Right Meow and asks the player to catch all of Tailord's kittens. Xbox uses Cat army and asks the player to find them all. The first-hand guide labels its five moving collectibles Thieving Cats and connects them to Tailord's outfits.
Those sources clearly describe the same collection theme, but this page does not claim that a future patch will always use the same trophy trigger. If all five catches are recorded and the trophy does not unlock, check the current platform list and patch notes before repeating the route.
For the rest of the completion list, open the Duskfade trophy and achievement guide. For another specific collectible route, use the Rainbow Ingot checklist.
