No. Duskfade demo progress does not carry over to the full game. The developer’s official pre-launch FAQ says the full release starts a fresh adventure.
The official answer
The clearest source is the Steam news FAQ published for Duskfade before launch. In its demo section, the team explains that save progress from the demo will not transfer. Players who buy the full game should expect to begin again from the start.
That answer overrides older guesses, search snippets, and community posts. A manual save-file copy described by another player is not the same as supported transfer, and it may cause broken progression or inconsistent unlock states.
Why starting again is reasonable
The demo is designed to introduce several environments and abilities quickly. Fireshine Games says it includes the outskirts of Tick Town, a magical forest, clocktower ruins, ability unlocks, and a battle with Wrath. A preview build can package or pace those systems differently from the final opening.
The official FAQ also says game performance improved after the demo. That suggests the release build should be treated as a separate version rather than a continuation of the exact preview state.
What you keep from the demo
You keep your own knowledge: the feel of jumping and dashing, familiarity with the early environments, and an understanding of whether the platforming and combat appeal to you. You should not expect the game to import unlocked abilities, completed areas, collectibles, settings, or achievement progress unless the release build itself says otherwise.
Should you copy files manually?
This guide does not recommend it. The developer does not document a supported transfer process, and community workarounds can become outdated after patches. Starting fresh avoids mismatched objectives and gives the full game a clean save created by the release version.
If a future update adds official import support, the publisher or Steam news page should be the primary source. Until then, the verified answer remains no.
