There are ten Rainbow Ingots in the first-hand route checked for this guide: two are bought in Tick Town after specific boss clears, and eight come from stages. Several stage Ingots require movement tools earned later, so use this as a cleanup checklist rather than forcing every pickup on your first visit.
The PlayStation and Xbox lists connect the complete set to The most beautiful sword in the land/kingdom trophy or achievement.
Rainbow Ingot checklist
| # | Area | Requirement or landmark | Route summary |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Tick Town | Defeat the Prison of the Beast boss | Return to Tick Town and check the Blacksmith's purchasable stock. |
| 2 | Tick Town | Defeat the Veiled Chambers boss | A second Ingot becomes available to buy after this boss clear. |
| 3 | Erazus Forest | Grappling Hook from Starstone Mines | Backtrack from the fast-travel point and use the two grapple balloons to reach the chest. |
| 4 | Mount Cinder | First checkpoint; spinning flame platforms | After the third platform, look above for the grapple route across the lava. |
| 5 | Meridian Village | Pendulum from Apprentice's Wing | In the second settlement area before fast travel, use the purple-door challenge and finish its mixed route. |
| 6 | Great Library | Early main path, below fast travel | Clear the enemies around the visible chest and open it. |
| 7 | Canal Hamlet | Bridge and nearby arch | Go beneath the arch, pass the purple doorway, and finish the short platform route to the chest. |
| 8 | Auric Palace | Three rotating gear platforms near the end | Use the third rotating platform to reach the coliseum-side rail route, then follow it to the reward. |
| 9 | Deepthorne | Wings from Clockmaker's Rest | From fast travel, climb to the rooftops, take the boost rings, pass the purple door, and clear the invisible-platform challenge. |
| 10 | Desert of the Last Memory | Late building raised by a gear | Reach the roof, turn back toward the purple door, fly across, and finish the combat room. |
The first-hand source contains a small item-name slip inside its Meridian Village paragraph, calling the target an Ancient Coin before describing a Rainbow Ingot reward. The section heading, route context, and final reward all identify this as the Meridian Rainbow Ingot, but check your in-game counter after completing the challenge.
Tick Town purchases
The two Tick Town Ingots are progression-gated purchases rather than hidden stage chests. The route source says one appears after the Prison of the Beast boss and the other after the Veiled Chambers boss.
If the Blacksmith does not offer one yet, verify that the matching boss has been cleared and revisit the shop. The Blacksmith is near the Sea side of Tick Town and is also where the route source says weapon colors are handled.
Early and mid-game stage Ingots
The Erazus Forest pickup is designed for a return visit because its route needs the Grappling Hook obtained in Starstone Mines. Start at the forest fast-travel point, move back into the previous section, and scan above for the pair of grapple balloons leading to the chest.
Mount Cinder's route branches upward after the early spinning-flame platforms. Once you pass the third platform in that sequence, look overhead instead of continuing at ground level. The grapple chain leads across the lava to the Ingot reward.
Meridian Village also needs a later tool: the Pendulum from Apprentice's Wing. Find the second town-like section before the fast-travel point, enter the purple doorway with the Stopwatch ability, and complete the challenge beyond it.
The Great Library entry is the simplest checklist item. Its chest is close to the beginning of the stage, below the fast-travel point and beside the main route. Deal with the surrounding enemies before opening it.
Late-game and backtracking Ingots
In Canal Hamlet, use the bridge as your anchor. After crossing it, pass beneath the nearby arch to find the side path and purple doorway. The route beyond is short and ends at the chest.
Auric Palace asks you to use the third of three rotating platforms near the end of the stage. As it returns toward its normal position, use the side facing the coliseum pillar without a purple crystal to reach the higher route. Continue along the rails and platforms to the Ingot.
Deepthorne is another deliberate backtrack. Bring the Wings from Clockmaker's Rest, return to Deepthorne fast travel, climb the wooden structures and rooftops, and follow the boost rings toward the purple door. The challenge behind it uses invisible platforms, so expect a harder traversal sequence.
Near the end of Desert of the Last Memory, a gear raises access to the top of a building. From the roof, turn around to spot the purple doorway, fly to it, and complete the encounter inside for the final route entry.
Trophy and tracking notes
PlayStation lists the trophy requirement as finding all Rainbow Ingots, while Xbox uses the same collection objective for its achievement. The sources checked do not provide an official in-game map or guarantee that every route will remain unchanged after patches.
If your trophy does not trigger, first recount the two Tick Town purchases separately from the eight stage items. Then compare your accessible tools against the Grappling Hook, Pendulum, and Wings prerequisites before assuming the save is bugged.
Use the Duskfade trophy and achievement guide for platform totals and completion planning. This page is only the Rainbow Ingot route.
