Duskfade launched on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 on August 13, 2026. It is a single-player game on every official store page checked for this guide.
Platform comparison at a glance
| Platform | Officially listed features | Store price checked at launch | | --- | --- | --- | | PC (Steam) | Achievements, cloud saves, full controller support, Steam Deck Verified | $29.99 standard | | PlayStation 5 | Offline play, one player, DualSense vibration and trigger effects | $29.99 | | Xbox Series X|S / PC | Play Anywhere, cloud availability, 4K, HDR10, VRR, 60 fps+ listing | $29.99 | | Nintendo Switch 2 | TV, tabletop, and handheld modes; one player | $29.99 |
Store prices and promotions can change. Steam advertised a 20% launch discount for the first two weeks, so the temporary price should not be treated as the permanent MSRP.
PC and Steam Deck
Steam lists Duskfade as a Windows title with Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, Family Sharing, and full controller support. The store specifically lists Xbox controller support, and Valve marks the game Steam Deck Verified.
PC is the only platform in this comparison with published minimum and recommended hardware requirements. Check the dedicated system requirements guide before buying if your GPU or memory is close to the minimum.
PlayStation 5
The PlayStation Store lists one-player offline play. It also lists DualSense vibration and trigger-effect support. Those hardware features may make PS5 attractive if controller feedback matters to you, but the store page does not promise that they change the underlying gameplay content.
Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC
Xbox lists the game for Series X|S and PC with Xbox Play Anywhere. The store also displays 4K Ultra HD, HDR10, variable refresh rate, and 60 fps+ capabilities. These are platform listing capabilities, not a guarantee that every scene, display, or hardware configuration will always use the maximum mode.
The Xbox page also identifies the game as single player. There is no verified local or online cooperative mode in the official listing.
Nintendo Switch 2
Nintendo lists a digital Switch 2 edition with a 6.8 GB download size and support for TV, tabletop, and handheld play. The official store says the software supports one player on a single system.
Nintendo World Report’s launch review reported a target of 60 fps while docked and 40 fps in handheld mode, with visible fluctuation and a softer handheld image. That is a third-party review observation, not a specification promised by Nintendo or the developer, so future patches may change the result.
Which version should you choose?
Choose based on the hardware and features you will actually use. PC offers published system requirements and Steam Deck verification. PS5 lists DualSense-specific feedback. Xbox highlights Play Anywhere and display features. Switch 2 is the portable console option, but a launch review observed visual and frame-rate compromises in handheld play.
No reliable source checked for this guide shows platform-exclusive levels or story content. Physical editions are also not confirmed by the developer, so we are deliberately not recommending a physical platform purchase yet.
